I am in Florida this week on vacation and the first place I wanted to try was Fresh Kitchen, a 100% dedicated gluten-free restaurant. Traveling and finding restaurants to eat at can be anxiety-inducing, but I followed my strategy to finding a restaurant with gluten-free options and found Fresh Kitchen close to where I was.
Fresh Kitchen has customizable bowls, pressed juices, homemade teas and frescas, and paleo bite sized desserts.
The menu was easy to understand and every item was clearly labeled with gluten-free, dairy-free, no sugar added, and/or vegan.
I got a base of brown rice and sweet potato noodles with BBQ chicken and teriyaki chicken as my protein. You could also add in vegetables, sauces, and other add-ons. My bowl was amazing, besides the sweet potato noodles which didn’t really have flavor. The two other people who I was traveling with loved their bowls as well and said they didn’t miss gluten at all.
There were so many drink choices I didn’t know what to get but I tried the Strawberry Lemon Fresca and got another drink to go. The fresca was AMAZING! I want to try all of their flavors.
For dessert, I picked up their Zucchini brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Both were gluten-free, dairy-free, and no refined sugar added. The chocolate chip cookies were amazing, but the zucchini brownies were just alright.
If you live in Florida near a Fresh Kitchen I HIGHLY recommend you stop in and try it. You won’t be disappointed! View their locations here.
They even sell shirts there that say ‘Too Cool for Gluten’! Of course I bought one.
